Job summary

3000 Micron Idaho Semiconductor Manufacturing (Triton) LLC in Boise is seeking a Wet Etch Process Engineer to start up, develop, and optimize processes for DRAM production. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams to resolve line problems and implement solutions to boost efficiency and yield on the DRAM production line.

The role emphasizes process ownership, data-driven problem solving, and partnership with equipment and integration engineers to drive cost reductions and productivity

Qualifications

  • MS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics, or BS with 2+ years semiconductor experience as Wet Etch process owner.
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI to optimize workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Own wet etch process development and optimization to improve yield and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with equipment and integration engineers to resolve production issues.
  • Lead projects to close yield, defectivity, production, and cost gaps.
  • Drive SPC improvements across owned charts.

Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a Wet Etch Process Engineer to join our Boise expansion team. In this role you will start up, develop and optimize processes to improve product quality, drive yield improvements, cut costs, boost productivity and manage risk. Working closely with multi‑functional teams, you will resolve manufacturing line problems and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and yield across the DRAM production line.

Responsibilities
  • Possess strong process area knowledge and DRAM development and manufacturing experience.
  • Collaborate with equipment engineers and integration engineers to identify and resolve production‑impacting issues.
  • Use project‑management skills to complete project milestones that close yield, defectivity, production, and cost gaps.
  • Drive improvements across all SPC (statistical process control) charts that you own.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • MS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a BS with 2+ years of semiconductor industry experience as a Wet Etch process owner (vapor etch, dry strip, dry bevel etch & Cu plating in addition to conventional bath and spin processes).
  • Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI to help develop efficient workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a meticulous approach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in data science and programming skills.
