Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Wet End Operator to manage the wet end of the corrugation process. The role includes setting up guides and glue stations, loading and trimming rolls, and making adjustments for tension, alignment, and warp control to maximize efficiency.

You will verify correct roll stock, perform splices, and maintain accurate production and safety records. The ideal candidate reads factory masters, can read a tape measure quickly, and applies high school math

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
• Able to apply concepts of high school math.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up bridge guides and glue station using proper setup techniques.
• Verify correct roll stock is received and used on the wet end line.
• Load rolls of paper and perform splices and changes as needed.
• Make adjustments for tension, alignment, and warp control during runs.
• Keep the Wet End area clean and complete reports such as production data and quality data.
