Job description

Overview

You keep us looking our best – sparkly, clean, and bright. Flanigan’s is committed to keeping the cleanest house around, and it falls on our entire team to make our restaurants look and feel clean on the inside and out. You’re a key piece of the puzzle, taking great care to make sure every single thing is cleaned and sanitized to the highest of standards.

Responsibilities

1. Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
2. Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
3. Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
4. Maintains kitchen area cleanliness; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc.
5. Performs assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
6. Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Qualifications

1. Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
2. Can reach, bend, and stoop
3. Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
4. Ability to speak, read, and write English
5. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
6. Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
7. Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
8. Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
9. Support fellow employees as needed
10. Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
