COMMUNITY RESOURCES FOR INDEPENDENCE, INC. is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and Personal Care Assistants (PCA) in Westfield and surrounding areas.

We seek caring, dependable individuals to join our team following client needs, with opportunities to work as DSP or PCA depending on available placements. We offer competitive pay: $18.00/hour as Direct Support Professional and $13.75/hour as Personal Care Assistant, plus flexible schedules, paid training, bonuses and mileage

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Must be able to pass a variety of background checks and clearances.
• Availability to work every other weekend, on holidays, and participate in an on-call rotation is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with light housekeeping, meals, and personal care tasks.
• Get paid to join our clients on walks and activities in the community.
• Join your clients for appointments, shopping, or other errands as needed.
• You will help empower people to live independently and be part of the community.
• Support IDD clients in reaching the goals outlined in their Service Plan.
• Facilitate community integration, social engagement, and skill-building activities.
• Encourage independence, dignity, and choice in daily living.
• Accompany clients to appointments when necessary.
• Engage in team meetings to share insights about the client's progress.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment through light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Effective communication and empathy are vital for building strong, trusting relationships with those you support.
