Job summary

Westfall Technik, LLC is seeking a DuoPump Operator at our New Haven site. The role involves assembling electro-mechanical devices and following detailed procedures with precision.

You will inspect components, report defects, and document your work while maintaining cleanroom and safety protocols. The position requires basic education, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and readiness to work in a manufacturing team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in assembly or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read procedures.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical devices according to procedures and specs.
• Follow detailed instructions and use hand tools and fixtures to assemble parts.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and report defects.
• Document assembly and inspection activities accurately for records.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets and deadlines.

We are currently seeking DuoPump Operator, with the below qualifications:

Duties And Responsibilities

• General Skills
• Ability to follow directions accurately and work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working in a group environment and as a team player
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to company safety requirements and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow all safety guidelines
• Communicate well to others and work within a team environment
• Assemble electro-mechanical devices
• Assemble components or products according to detailed procedures and technical specifications
• Proficiency in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers), small powered equipment (electrical screwdrivers), and fixtures/jigs to perform assembly tasks
• Work efficiently with small components, ensuring precision and accuracy during assembly
• Inspect assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Identify and report defects in components or assemblies to Lead Operator, Supervisors, Quality personnel, or Engineering
• Accurately complete documentation related to assembly work and product inspection
• Skill requirements
• Skilled in using hand tools, small powered equipment, and fixtures/jigs
• Strong ability to work with small components and attention to detail
• Capable to inspect workmanship and identify defects effectively
• Knowledge of soldering techniques (IPC J-STD-OO1 certification is a plus)
• Willingness and capability to obtain soldering skills and certification if required
• Ability to distinguish between different colors as required for assembly and inspection tasks

Minimum Requirements And Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, or previously demonstrated experience
• Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing is preferred but not required
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Work in a team environment

Essential Functions And Physical Demands

• Ability to continuously grasp and manipulate small plastic parts and place in machines
• Frequently sit, stand and walk
• Occasional lifting up to 50lbs and carrying up to 25lbs
• Occasional pushing, pulling, twisting, balancing and stopping
• Continuously perform visual inspections on parts
• Must be capable of working in a cleanroom environment for extended periods of time, following all cleanroom protocol while wearing ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) accessories
