Job description

Child Care Assistant (temporary positions)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the classroom teacher in planning and implementing high-quality on-site bilingual (English and Spanish) instruction and assessment for children ages birth to eight. Aid in the supervision of children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, transitions, toileting and field trips. Ability to stand, walk, and interact with children for extended periods. Fill in, as needed, for Teacher no more than 25 hours per week.

WORK LOCATION: Quad Cities Campus – Moline, IL.

APPOINTMENT: As soon as possible on an as-needed basis.

HOURLY WAGE: $15.75. Temporary, extra help positions are not eligible for benefits.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of credentials required by Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for employment as a Child Care Assistant.
• For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree‑granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). The degree must be conferred at the time of application.
