IAT Insurance Group is hiring an Underwriting Director to lead excess casualty business in the West region from Scottsdale, AZ or Pasadena, CA, with possible Western remote consideration. Strong candidates will build wholesale partner relationships and manage a profitable middle-market book, focusing on high-premium accounts and balanced pricing.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 12+ years in commercial insurance, with deep knowledge of Excess and Surplus and agency management.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience in commercial insurance.
• Knowledge of Excess and Surplus; apply loss development and pricing concepts.
• Strong math aptitude and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Agency management experience; strong negotiation skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship required.

Responsabilidades

• Underwrite and produce profitable business within the granted authority; maintain agency relationships and develop new ones; comply with underwriting guidelines, processes and regulatory requirements.
• Clearly express information and ideas through spoken and written channels; demonstrate understanding of products and services.
• Provide prompt, courteous responses to internal and external customers; market capabilities to distribution partners.
• Leverage metrics and data to improve territory performance; understand market trends and competitors.
• Perform other duties as needed.
