Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 6+ years nonprofit fundraising experience preferred.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills for donor meetings, writing, and public speaking.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams to achieve fundraising goals.
• Experience with multiple information sources to craft compelling cases for support.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative to surface opportunities and drive outcomes.
• Proficiency with fundraising databases to track donor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage a donor portfolio in the western U.S. for cultivation and stewardship.
• Qualify and prioritize donors for direct one-to-one engagement.
• Develop tailored one-to-one communications using existing materials and bespoke content.
• Arrange face-to-face and virtual meetings with high-potential donors to advance relationships.
• Support annual contact and revenue goal setting with the Associate Vice President.
• Maintain fluency in EDF’s programs and articulate a compelling case for support.
• Prepare tailored gift acknowledgements and receipts in collaboration with the Stewardship Coordinator.
• Maintain donor data with confidentiality and coordinate with the Operations team.
• Collaborate with Planned Giving to identify opportunities for joint donor engagement.
• Contribute to EDF’s culture goals and participate in department initiatives.
