Job summary

Flanigan’s is seeking a friendly host/hostess to greet guests warmly as they arrive and guide them to tables, ensuring a smooth seating flow. You will manage wait lists, answer questions, and maintain a clean, welcoming lobby while delivering the brand’s signature Smile Talk throughout the guest journey.

The role emphasizes cheerful hospitality, punctual escorting to tables, and assisting with shift openings/closings. A positive, energetic demeanor is essential for success at Flanigan’s.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Must complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program.
• Must complete and pass Florida food safety certification program.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cheerful, courteous demeanor and a neat, professional image.
• Greet guests with Flanigan’s Smile Talk.
• Engage guests in Smile Talk while escorting them to tables promptly.
• Efficiently manage the Wait List for seating.
• Communicate guest questions or concerns to the Manager on duty.
• Keep foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and restocked; refresh menus.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.
• Answer telephone within 4 rings and direct guests to proper staff.
• Conclude guests’ visit with Smile Talk.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework.

Overview

You’re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our friends and family in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage the flow of seating, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out, just as nicely as on the way in. We’re always looking for the most friendly, hospitable people to join the team.

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, as well as displays a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Engages guests in Flanigan’s "Smile Talk" while escorting them to table in a timely manner
• Efficiently manages the Wait List for seating
• Communicates guest’s questions or concerns to Manager on duty
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris, restocks and cleans menus
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guest
• Answers telephone within 4 rings, and answers guests’ questions, and/or directs guests to proper staff member
• Conclude guests’ visit with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
