Job summary

HealthCorps, Inc. seeks a Program Manager - Workforce Development to lead the West Virginia career exposure initiative, coordinating school events, field trips, and coaching for teens. The role requires travel across the state and collaboration with national Curriculum and M&E teams.

You will report to the Program Director of Appalachia, build partnerships with local hospitals and universities, and help scale workforce development efforts nationally over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of relevant program management experience.
• Experience in youth services, health education, workforce development, or university/community partnerships.
• Based in West Virginia or close enough to travel throughout the state regularly.
• Proven track record of getting things done: organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage many deadlines.
• Comfortable with outbound relationship-building outreach to engage partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute campus-wide health career exposure events with clinicians and panels.
• Organize field trips to colleges, tech centers, and healthcare facilities and manage logistics.
• Handle on-the-ground work: calls, guests, buses, and plan adjustments.
• Track program delivery against grant milestones and maintain logs.
• Coordinate with Curriculum and M&E teams to ensure consistent content delivery.
• Collaborate with regional staff and near-peer mentors to implement weekly club sessions.
• Coordinate career assessments and coaching logistics for selected students.
