Highland Animal Hospital has served our community since 1961 and is a busy West Texas small animal practice seeking a full-time veterinarian. We are a team-oriented clinic focused on compassionate patient care and excellent client service.

As part of our veterinary team, you will examine and treat companion animals, perform surgeries, advise on prevention, and maintain medical records in a fast-paced environment with skilled support staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; heavier with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose diseases or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and collect samples; interpret results.
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counsel on pet end-of-life care.
• Maintain patients' medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and policies.
