Job summary
Highland Animal Hospital in West Texas is seeking a full-time veterinarian to join a busy, community-focused small animal practice. Currently a one-doctor clinic with strong support staff, the team aims to expand with a new associate who shares commitment to high-quality care and client service.

Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
- State licensure in good standing.
- DEA/BNDD eligibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; may require more with assistance.
Responsibilities
- Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose diseases or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect samples; interpret results.
- Advise owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgeries and prescribe medications as needed.
- Provide counsel on end-of-life care for pets.
- Maintain medical records for patients.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant policies.
