Job summary

Gresham Smith is seeking a West TN CEI Department Leader in Transportation Market (Finance) to lead project scheduling efforts and apply CPM methods. The role emphasizes schedule development, monitoring, and recovery planning within a collaborative, people-first culture.

You will work with program managers and design professionals to shape schedules, manage baselines, and ensure accurate forecasts while staying current with client and firm requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 2+ years of project scheduling experience using work breakdown structure and CPM
• Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures
• Ability to learn GDOT systems, policies, and procedures
• Understanding of firm operations, policies, and procedures, preferably in A/E industry
• Proficiency with office equipment (PCs, calculators, copiers)
• MS Office applications, especially Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Project
• Experience with Primavera P6 and Smartsheets preferred
• Strong attention to detail in data entry and communication
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules aligned with best PM practices
• Ensure schedule accuracy by tracking updates from project managers
• Assist PMs in monitoring progress, identifying critical activities, and reviewing forecasts
• Track baselines, perform what-if analyses, and assist recovery schedules
• Identify projects behind baselines and develop recovery schedules for PM approval
• Assist scheduler in tracking status of schedules, updating spreadsheets, and following up on status
• Attend meetings to provide input on schedule structure, durations, and changes
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Attend training to stay current with client and firm requirements
