RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Sr Manager of Project and Operations Communications (West) to lead regional communications strategies for energy development projects across the West. The role partners with Stakeholder Engagement, Government Affairs, Development, and Operations to deliver proactive, transparent messaging to communities, officials, media, and stakeholders.

The position requires strong writing, media relations, and strategic planning across multi‑phase projects, with 30–40% travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or Communications preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of corporate communications experience; energy industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work across locations and teams to achieve outcomes.
• Strategic planning and execution across complex multi‑phase projects.
• Strong writing, editing, and messaging for diverse external audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive regional communications strategy aligned with project goals.
• Adapt national messaging for regional audiences and ensure consistency across teams.
• Coordinate with stakeholder engagement, government affairs, and development teams for alignment.
• Lead external communications for energy projects from development through operations.
• Draft press releases, statements, talking points, and briefing materials; support media events.
• Develop media training for executives and subject matter experts.
• Produce regionally tailored digital content for web and social platforms.
• Manage external agencies and ensure cohesive execution with brand standards.
