Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers and Architects is seeking a Senior Structural Engineering Leader based in the Rocky Mountain/West region. This role oversees structures practice leads and project managers, drives regional staffing, and ensures high-quality project delivery with strong client engagement.

You will mentor teams, manage utilization and budgets, and collaborate with marketing and sales to pursue opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of leadership experience in structural engineering or practice management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE license required; SE license preferred.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses to support regional growth.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities.
• Proven ability to manage financial performance, utilization, and project delivery.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Established relationships within structures/infrastructure industries.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and oversee structures practice leads and project managers in the West Region.
• Manage team utilization, backlog, and financial performance.
• Monitor pursuit pipeline and labor backlog to balance workload and staffing.
• Collaborate across offices to promote cross-discipline integration.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Control Standards across projects.
• Support sales goals, marketing, and business development in the region.
• Develop and maintain relationships to grow the structures presence regionally.
• Travel frequently for regional leadership and client engagement.
