Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Logistics Services LLC seeks an engineering leader for MPLX, NG&NGL Operations Engineering – West to oversee gas and crude assets, manage a multi-disciplinary team, and supervise budgeting and project execution from Midland, TX (also San Antonio, TX or Oklahoma City, OK).

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 10 years of engineering experience with leadership capability; you will coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Safety, and Accounting to optimize

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 10 years of engineering experience required.
• 5 years of industry experience required.
• Knowledge/experience in processing operations, project management and design of gathering and compression systems is required.
• Leadership experience is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on Facility, Pipeline & Process operations to Operations & Engineering teams.
• Lead teams of Project Managers for operating expense and maintenance capital projects.
• Provide timely project updates on schedule and budget to internal customers.
• Develop Capital and Expense budgets for areas of responsibility for streamlined decision making.
• Communicate expectations to personnel and monitor performance.
• Determine strengths/weaknesses and guide career development; appraise performance.
• Collaborate with MPLX work teams and stakeholders in Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Environmental, Safety and Accounting.
• Direct and support technical requests from other departments and distribute workload.
• Identify and prioritize key opportunities with Operations management to drive ownership.
• Provide scope development input and support for Capital Projects, participate in design reviews, PHA’s and HAZOPs.
• Ensure PSM practices are followed through MOC’s and necessary documentation.
• Participate in and lead incident investigations and close out action items.
