Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Alternative Delivery Design Manager for the West region, with preferred bases in Denver, Sacramento, or Washington. The role focuses on leading design-build and alt-delivery projects, growing the transportation practice, and coordinating with multiple offices and clients.

The position supports hybrid or remote work, with potential for rapid advancement and office expansion in the Pacific Northwest.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
• 15+ years of progressive experience working on transportation infrastructure projects.
• 10+ years of experience as a Design Manager delivering alternative delivery and design-build projects.
• Washington or California PE license required
• SE license preferred
• Knowledge of design-build teaming and professional services agreements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Effective client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Transportation Alternative Delivery projects, including scope, budget, and schedule ensuring successful completion of projects.
• Lead and manage support staff and document production.
• Develop and maintain client relations with local design-build contractors and design teaming partners.
• Participate in business development activities including collaborating with our team in the marketing of new projects, proposal preparation, teaming arrangements and client relationship management.
• Interface regularly with WashDOT and/or Municipal/County clients.
