Job summary

GLOVIS America, Inc. is seeking a dedicated maintenance team member at the West Point VPC site to perform safe, timely maintenance tasks to support daily production.

The role requires adherence to safety standards and strong teamwork to keep the plant and yard in good condition. The position involves assisting with preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment, maintaining a clean work area, and following established procedures.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work activities.
• Ability to read and write and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• High School Diploma or GED required; diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance duties adhering to safety regulations and proper lockout/tagout.
• Assist Maintenance Specialist with preventative maintenance on vans, trucks, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean work environment in the shop, facility and grounds.
• Keep facility and grounds clean and safe (yard/patching/weed control).
• Assist with projects and conduct weekly/daily inspections.
• Follow policies; ensure ISO compliance as applicable.
• Provide feedback on facility, grounds, and equipment status.

Summary

The team member provides safe and effective maintenance in a timely manner to meet daily production needs and goals. The team member will also conduct facility maintenance duties as assigned to meet daily, weekly, and monthly schedules while working in accordance with established policies and procedures to complete maintenance requests and tasks assigned by the Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Primary
  • Perform maintenance duties adhering to all safety regulations lock out / tag out, and state and federal regulations.
  • Assist Maintenance Specialist in performing preventative maintenance on vans, trucks, and equipment as required
  • Maintains clean work environment in the maintenance shop, facility and grounds.
  • Works to ensure the facility and grounds are maintained in a clean, safe environment.
    i.e. Yard sweeper, Block Painting, Pot Hole Repair, Litter pickup, weed eating
  • Assist with projects.
  • Conduct weekly / daily inspections.
• Secondary
  • Performs duties according to proper vehicle handling procedure, standard work instructions, and safe work practices.
  • Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures ISO compliance standards are met, utilizing documentation as identified by WP ISO system.
• Tertiary
  • Provides continuous feedback to Maintenance Specialist of all facility, grounds, and equipment status.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/G.E.D Required
  • High School Diploma Preferred
