Job summary

Ardaman & Associates, Inc. in the West Palm Beach, FL area is seeking a Lab/Field Testing Technician. This full-time role operates in a soils and concrete testing laboratory and at field sites.

The technician performs basic lab tests (organic content, grain size, compaction, concrete compression) and field tasks (soil/concrete sampling, nuclear density gauge testing, inspections). Training provided; certifications a plus; must pass background checks.

Qualifications

• FDOT/CTQP/ACI laboratory testing certifications a plus
• The ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
• The ability to perform mathematical calculations
• The ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed
• The ability to travel and work at remote sites as needed
• Excellent driving record within company standards
• Must be able to pass background screening requirements including criminal history, motor vehicle check, drug testing, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic laboratory testing including organic content, grain size analysis, compaction, processing of material, and compression testing of concrete specimens.
• Field work includes soils and concrete sampling, nuclear density gauge testing, field inspection, and miscellaneous construction activities.
• Work in a soils and concrete testing laboratory and at field sites in the West Palm Beach area.
