Energy Strategies is seeking an Energy Policy Consultant to join the Transmission and Energy Markets group. You will perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, develop PowerPoint summaries, and contribute to regulatory comments for clients across the Western Interconnection.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Environmental Policy, Communications, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex topics in writing and presentations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to client engagements with quantitative/qualitative analysis and basic spreadsheet modeling.
  • Support senior staff in project management, report writing, and PowerPoint summaries; assist in regulatory comments.
  • Assess transmission and interconnection-related questions for generators and large loads.
  • Summarize industry meetings and highlight implications of market and policy rules for clients.
  • Develop client comments for CAISO initiatives, EDAM, Markets+, WRAP and state dockets.
  • Support business development by organizing data, tools, and information for future projects.
  • Ensure work meets budgets, timelines, and client expectations.
