Job Description: Growth Leader at Brown and Caldwell

Brown and Caldwell (BC) is seeking a Growth Leader to support Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) operations in the Western U.S. The role requires knowledge of market trends, competitive dynamics, and BC's brand to identify challenges and opportunities for sales growth. Collaborating with Area Directors/Area Growth Leaders and the West Business Unit Growth Director, the leader will develop and execute strategies to expand a profitable IPD portfolio, aligned with BC's processes and practices.

The role emphasizes purposeful growth, responsible freedom, disciplined creativity, and deep connections. The Growth Leader will work with operational, technical, and growth teams to maximize IPD sales and backlog, with remote work flexibility. Ideally, the position is located near BC offices in Los Angeles, Irvine, San Francisco, Seattle, Honolulu, Denver, or Dallas.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and manage the annual IPD business plan, achieving performance metrics aligned with growth objectives.
  2. Serve as Client Service Manager and Sales Leader for top clients and pursuits, enhancing win rates and supporting sales team training.
  3. Maintain connectivity with Client Service Managers to gather client, project, and competitor intelligence for strategic positioning.
  4. Lead projects as Project Manager or Principal in Charge, ensuring operational success.
  5. Partner with IPD Enterprise to improve contractor relationships.
  6. Facilitate knowledge transfer on market trends and lessons learned within BC.
  7. Co-lead monthly IPD calls with the Business Unit to drive actionable outcomes.
  8. Promote talent growth and diversity within IPD projects.
  9. Implement partnership strategies with operations to align resources with client priorities.
  10. Support BC's brand internally and externally through engagement in key opportunities.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Engineering degree or related field.
  • 15+ years' experience with recent delivery of collaborative projects in engineering and construction.
  • Experience with commercial constructs, sales strategies, and pursuit success.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Existing contractor market links and successful business development history.
  • DBIA certification or commitment to obtain it.
  • Leadership qualities to motivate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic and critical thinking with a willingness to challenge norms.
  • Decisiveness in risk and uncertainty management.
  • Market insight for innovative growth solutions.
  • Background in relationship-based sales and proposal development.
  • Understanding of political landscape impacts on growth and strategy.

Salary Range: The starting pay varies by location, with ranges from $161,000 to $265,000. Specific ranges depend on the employee's primary work location.
