Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Day Program Instructor Caregiver in West Covina, CA to support adults with developmental disabilities in daily living, vocational, and community activities.

You will help implement IPP-based routines, assist with personal care, meals, and transportation, and participate in ongoing assessments and team meetings. This in-person role requires 21+ with a CA driver’s license and pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings (background check, etc.)
• Preferred: CPI, DSP Year 1 & Year 2, First Aid/CPR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and follow daily activity routines based on each client’s IPP.
• Assist with personal care, bathroom needs, and changing clothing when needed.
• Prepare meals and assist with cleanup.
• Support clients in daily living, vocational, recreational, and community activities.
• Provide transportation in company vans as needed.
• Participate in client assessments, planning, and evaluation.
• Enter client notes into computer systems and review IPP goals.
• Communicate with supervisors about client progress.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
