Job summary

Koury Corporation is seeking a West Course Assistant Superintendent in Greensboro, NC to maintain high course standards and oversee outdoor operations in all weather, seven days a week. Reports to the Director of Grounds and will lead safety-focused staff training.

The role requires readiness to work hard outdoors, manage daily tasks, and supervise crews while ensuring proper equipment use and ongoing education. This position offers comprehensive employee benefits and stability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training staff on safety procedures.
• Plan daily operations both A.M. & P.M. duties.
• Be able to properly apply fertilizer and pesticides.
• Know how to operate Satellite Controllers (TORO).
• Identify localized dry spots, especially on greens.
• Properly train staff on equipment operation.
• Stay up to date on continuing education.
• Communicate well with Management, Subordinates and Guests.
• Able to operate irrigation control system computer and radios.
• Eye for detail to keep grounds, equipment and course clean.
• Basic knowledge of Pump Station and Fertigation System.
• Make sure PPE is worn as required.
• Be in constant communication with the Director of Grounds.
• Notice any disease, weed, insect or personnel issues.
• Be able to operate all equipment in use.
• Assist with record keeping of chemicals application and daily duties performed.
• Supervise employees to make sure all jobs are completed safely.

We are currently seeking a West Course Assistant Superintendent who is ready to make a difference. You must be eager and ready to work hard to maintain the high standards of these courses. This is outdoor work that happens in all types of weather conditions on all seven days of the week. You must be motivated to do a great job.
