Vallum Associates is seeking a Solar Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day O&M across a West Coast portfolio. You will lead field resources, coordinate service activities and uphold plant reliability, availability, and safety performance.
Responsibilities include directing field technicians and contractors, planning maintenance, coordinating troubleshooting, and maintaining accurate CMMS records. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in solar O&M or related fields.
- 2+ years leading technicians or field teams.
- Knowledge of PV systems, inverters and electrical equipment.
- Experience with CMMS, SCADA and monitoring platforms.
- Engineering degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel west coast sites.
Responsibilities
- Direct field technicians and contractors across solar sites.
- Plan maintenance, repairs and field service activities.
- Coordinate troubleshooting for inverter or equipment issues.
- Monitor asset performance via SCADA and remote systems.
- Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
- Schedule site priorities and technician resources.
- Collaborate with engineering and asset teams on concerns.
- Manage spare parts, tools and field materials.
- Promote safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
- Provide updates on equipment condition and risks.
