Job summary

Centellic is seeking an experienced editor to lead California and West Coast regional content, combining editorial leadership with content creation. You will oversee a reporter, set coverage priorities, guide development and manage day-to-day needs of the regional brand.

The right candidate will mentor reporters, shape coverage on lawyers, law firms, courts and cases, and help lead data projects and regional recognition programs, delivering compelling journalism with regional and national impact.

Qualifications

• Experience leading regional coverage and setting editorial priorities.
• Proven track record coaching reporters and managing deadlines.
• Strong understanding of business of law or litigation coverage preferred.
• Ability to develop data-driven content and multimedia storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead California and West Coast coverage with a strong mix of breaking news, analysis and enterprise journalism.
• Manage and coach reporters to develop sources and strong stories.
• Develop data-driven content using Centellic data and multimedia storytelling.
• Oversee regional content operations including newsletters and audience engagement.
• Direct editorial initiatives such as awards, surveys, rankings, and special reports.
• Represent Law.com in the regional legal community.
