Job summary

Mt. Horeb Church is seeking a West Campus Kids Ministry Coordinator to plan, program, and execute all kids events. The role includes volunteer scheduling, room prep, and curriculum development for infants through 5th grade.

The position is part-time (20 hours/week) and reports to the Pastoral Intern. Candidate must reside in Gilbert/SC or nearby areas and be committed to church values and Safe Sanctuary policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, program and execute Kids Ministry events and curriculum.
• Schedule volunteers and prepare rooms for activities.
• Coordinate classroom leaders and email lesson plans ahead of time.
• Lead Sunday morning classes for infants through 5th grade.
• Ensure Safe Sanctuary policy is upheld and environments are age appropriate.
• Be present during Easter, VBS, Christmas Eve and large events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by church leadership.

Job description

The West Campus Kids Ministry Coordinator is responsible for the planning, programing and execution of Kids Ministry including volunteer scheduling, room prep and curriculum of all kids events.

• Support the ministry of the church through prayer, attendance, participation and tithing

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Partner with others on leadership team to build church culture
• Partner with families in the discipleship of their children
• Research, plan and prepare age-appropriate Bible lessons and activities for children ages infants—5th graders
• Schedule Sunday morning leaders. Email lessons and room assignments no later than the Thursday morning before for team to be prepared.
• Team lead for Sunday morning classes for infants through 5 th grade to include covering Check In Process, managing Safa Sanctuary Policy, meeting leader needs for classrooms, Bible teaching
• Develop and maintain safe, inviting and age-appropriate environments Uphold and enforce the Safe Sanctuary Policy (Child Protection Policy) of Mt. Horeb Church
• Required working presence at Easter, VBS, Christmas Eve and other large volume events as needed Other duties as assigned

This part-time position (20 hours per week) reports directly to the Pastoral Intern, Chris Morgan. Must be located in Gilbert, SC, Batesburg-Leesville, SC or Lexington, SC.
