Description
Manages the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure residents' healthcare needs are met. Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity and maintains quality care as residents' healthcare needs change. Ensures consistent quality resident care and service delivery throughout all shifts; this may require assuming the role and responsibilities of a Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide to meet residents' needs and staffing requirements.
Assists in supervising community-based licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers, providing ongoing training and education, including classroom in-services and situation-specific training. Manages staff schedules and oversees medication training, pharmacy management, and medication supervision or administration, conducting periodic medication skills inventory checks and audits per Brookdale Guidelines.
Shares on-call duties as required. Education must meet state licensing requirements (LPN/LVN or RN) with a minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience. Valid LPN or LVN license required.
