Job summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking an activity/recreation worker to develop and provide recreation programs that focus on promoting the health, wellness, and recovery of clients. The role involves planning, organizing, and implementing various activities while working collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with the elderly and those with disabilities, excellent organizational skills, and a strong ability to communicate effectively. A current Food Handler Training Certificate Level 1 is required or willingness to obtain it within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with clients in a health care or recovery environment.
• Province of Manitoba Class 5 Drivers License required.
• Ability to respect and promote confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop recreation programs focused on clients' health and wellness.
• Organize group activities ensuring client engagement.
• Communicate with team members regarding client progress.
