Job summary

Ottine Mineral Springs is seeking a Prep Cook / Pizza Cook to support daily culinary operations and craft nutritious pizzas in a wellness-focused resort environment.

You will prep ingredients, follow recipes, set up stations, and maintain cleanliness while delivering high-quality dishes and outstanding guest experiences. Weekend and holiday availability is required, with opportunities to grow in a collaborative food & beverage team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred.
• Texas Food Handler card and TABC certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to be trained on hire.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for daily service, including chopping, slicing, dicing, marinating, and portioning.
• Follow recipes and prep lists provided by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
• Set up stations and ensure all ingredients are ready for service before it begins.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen prep areas, walk-ins, and storage areas.
• Label, date, and store all food items properly following FIFO practices.
• Assist with receiving, inspecting, and properly storing incoming deliveries.
• Prepare pizza dough and sauces from scratch, emphasizing fresh, wholesome ingredients.
• Operate and maintain the pizza oven, monitor cooking times, and adjust temperatures for perfect baking results.
• Manage pizza station inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies.
