Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists, handle reception and data entry, and dispense medications in a compliant, patient-focused environment. You will support non-dispensing services and participate in health and wellness screenings in line with state and federal laws.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, being at least 18, and national/state registrations or licensure.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be 18 years of age.
Ability to handle highly confidential information.
Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.
Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and policies.
Maintain a current national/state registration, certification, or license.
Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist's professional judgement.
Provide stellar customer experience through reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
Support coaching and training of clerks/technicians.
Compound medications per state regulations.
Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information.
Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and apps.
Complete CLIA-waived screenings in line with laws and policies.
Provide additional health and wellness services as allowed by regulators.
Comply with sanitation and safety regulations; report unsafe conditions.
