Job summary

Ridgefield Station, an assisted living and memory care community, seeks a Wellness Nurse (LPN) to join our Resident Care team in Ridgefield, CT. You will help manage a comprehensive care program, train CNAs, and coordinate with families and physicians to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires CT-licensed LPN or RN and at least 1 year of experience with elderly or Alzheimer's populations. Excellent communication and reliability are essential as you support residents daily.

Qualifications

  • Certification: LPN or RN with CT license.
  • 1+ year experience with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and physicians.
  • Physical requirements: Standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and managing a comprehensive care program for all residents.
  • Assist with training and managing CNAs.
  • Serve as liaison with family members, community agencies, physicians and care providers.

Rates start at $34 per hour

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

The Wellness Nurse assists the Resident Care Director with managing, directing and developing a comprehensive care program for all residents of the community. The Wellness Nurse will also assist with the training and managing of our team of CNAs and serves as a liaison with family members, community agencies, physicians and care providers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certification: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid CT license.
  • Experience: 1+ years experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations.
  • Physical requirements : Standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents (with and without assistance)
  • Communication: An ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and physicians
  • Punctuality & reliability – Our residents rely on us to assist them with their daily living activities and we expect our associates to deliver on this promise.
