Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living is seeking a Wellness Nurse for a full-time role in Peoria, AZ. Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, ~8am-4pm or 6am-5pm. The position focuses on assessing residents, creating service plans, and coordinating care to promote health and well-being in an assisted living environment.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license with First Aid certification and have at least 2 years of eldercare experience. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing License issued by appropriate state licensing agency and First Aid certificate as required.
• Prefer a minimum of 2 years' experience working with the elderly in an assisted living, skilled nursing or hospital environment.
• Good communication skills; able to effectively communicate in English.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures and manuals; exercise good judgement.

Responsibilities

• Provide health and wellness visits and assess health status and psychosocial needs.
• Develop and manage individualized service plans for residents.
• Coordinate with the resident care team and physician to ensure appropriate care.
• Oversee medication administration and ensure proper documentation and scheduling.
• Maintain infection control guidelines and OSHA-related responsibilities as applicable.
