Job summary

Garden Spot Village in New Holland, PA, is seeking a Wellness Instructor to lead engaging fitness and wellness programs for residents, staff, guests, and visitors. This part-time role focuses on creating a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining the pool, spa, and fitness areas.

This position is 6pm–8pm (about 10 hours weekly). CPR/First Aid certifications are required, and instructor certification is preferred; strong customer service is essential to interact professionally with residents and

Qualifications

• Current CPR & First Aid certifications.
• Instructor Certification preferred or one-three years senior experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains confidentiality about residents' information.
• Performs proper opening and closing responsibilities for the Wellness Center.
• Designs and submits Wellness programs for approval by the Director of Wellness; leads and promotes approved programs.
• Maintains a safe and clean Wellness environment, including the pool, spa, fitness areas and Gardens North exercise room.
• Greets patrons of the Wellness Center, signs in and tracks attendance.
• Conveys requests for new equipment or program needs to coordinators or the Director.
• Communicates maintenance and repair concerns to the Wellness Coordinator or the Director.
• Performs pool and spa water tests and basic maintenance.

The Wellness Instructor brings energy, encouragement, and expertise to every wellness experience! They lead engaging fitness and wellness programs, inspire healthy lifestyles, and create a fun, welcoming atmosphere for residents, staff, guests, and visitors alike.

What You'll Do

• Maintains strict confidentiality about all information concerning residents, including but not limited to their physical and emotional condition, financial matters, as well as all family-related issues.
• Performs proper opening and closing responsibilities for the Wellness Center.
• Designs and submits Wellness programs for approval by the Director of Wellness; leads and promotes approved programs.
• Maintains a safe and clean Wellness environment, including the pool, spa, fitness areas and Gardens North exercise room.
• Enforces all Pool/Spa and Wellness policies and producers as stated by the Wellness Department of Garden Spot Village.
• Greets patrons of the Wellness Center, makes sure they all sign in.
• Tracks attendance of all programs.
• Conveys all requests for new equipment or program needs to the coordinators or the Director.
• Communicates any and all patrons' problems, questions and concerns to the coordinators or the Director.
• Communicates any and all maintenance and repair concerns to the Wellness Coordinator or the Director.
• Performs pool and spa water tests as instructed.
• Performs pool maintenance, e.g., vacuums, scrubs tile, etc. Completes daily maintenance checklist.
• Performs fitness maintenance, i.e. dusting, vacuuming. Completes daily maintenance checklist.
• Provides Rescue, CPR, First Aid or any other aid as needed. Follows emergency procedures as set by Garden Spot Village.
• Dresses appropriately: Swim trunks/suit, fitness apparel and proper footwear.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Current CPR & First Aid certifications.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with residents, guests, staff, and visitors.

Additional Information

This position is part-time 6pm-8pm (10 hours per week)
