Job summary

YMCA of Montclair is seeking a Wellness Floor Operations team member for regular part-time work in Montclair, NJ. The role focuses on delivering a positive, safe, and engaging environment for members and staff, while promoting health and fitness goals.

Responsibilities include orientations, room tours, and ensuring adherence to safety guidelines. The position requires 18+ years old, CPR/First Aid certification (or within 90 days), and completion of Y-USA online training within three days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of YMCA fitness equipment and ability to instruct members on fitness program development.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or obtain within 90 days.
• Must complete Y-USA online training within three business days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility orientations and promote member interaction to support Healthy Living goals.
• Tour exercise rooms to ensure guidelines are followed and member needs are met.
• Maintain clean, safe fitness facilities and report incidents per policy.
• Provide exceptional service and conduct tours for prospective members.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and enforce safety policies.
