Job summary

Canyon Ranch Austin is seeking a qualified Wellness & Fitness Instructor to join the founding team in Fall 2026. You will lead a range of classes, ensure guest safety, and inspire wellbeing in a luxury wellness destination.

Requirements include a minimum of two years teaching fitness, a group fitness certification within 90 days, a college degree in a fitness-related field, and CPR/First Aid. A commitment to continuing education and engaging diverse guests is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of teaching experience in the fitness industry.
• Acquire a group fitness certification within 90 days of start.
• College degree in a fitness-related field preferred (e.g., physical education, exercise science, dance).
• Current CPR certification and basic first aid knowledge required.
• Ability to maintain continuing education credits (CECs) to keep certifications current.
• Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills, with the ability to engage diverse guests.

Responsibilities

• Instruct Wellness and Fitness classes while ensuring guest safety, comfort, and enjoyment.
• Lead a variety of classes including aerobic exercise, strength and endurance training, muscle toning, and stretching.
• Provide expert guidance on proper body alignment, technique, and injury prevention.
• Assist guests with the safe and effective use of cardiovascular and weight equipment.
• Create an engaging, motivating class experience aligned with Canyon Ranch wellness standards.
