Job summary

STGi is seeking a Health Fitness Specialist to support the Wellness and Health Promotion Services contract with FOH. The role covers day-to-day fitness facility operations, member onboarding, and leading group classes when applicable.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or at least 1 year in exercise physiology or related field, holds CPR/AED, and a group fitness or personal training certification. Responsibilities include program development and safety reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 1 year experience in exercise/fitness field.
• Current CPR/AED certification required.
• Current group fitness or personal training certification preferred.
• When teaching fitness classes, hold general or specialty national certifications as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day operations of the facility including covering site hours and onboarding new members.
• Lead group fitness classes and demonstrate proper use of equipment.
• Prepare fitness-related materials such as newsletters and handouts.
• Maintain safety and report equipment or facility issues promptly.
• Develop exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility and endurance.
