Job summary

STGi is seeking an entry level PRN Health Fitness Specialist to support our Wellness and Health Promotion Services contract with Federal Occupational Health in White Oak/Rockville/CD.

The role involves assisting with daily fitness center operations, leading group classes where applicable, evaluating participant progress, and helping with program development and safety procedures under the direction of the Health Fitness Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or minimum 1 year's experience in exercise physiology or related field.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Current group fitness or personal training certification from a nationally accredited organization.
• When teaching fitness classes, hold general or specialty national certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the fitness facility and client onboarding.
• Lead group fitness classes when applicable and demonstrate proper form.
• Develop and adapt exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, or cardiovascular health.
• Prepare fitness materials and assist with reports and tracking as assigned.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of equipment and spaces.
