Job summary

The Barclay at Clemson is seeking an Assistant Director of Wellness to oversee daily nursing care operations and lead a compassionate wellness team. You will supervise nursing and personal care staff, onboard new wellness personnel, and foster a supportive culture while ensuring high-quality resident care.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, is required; prior experience in assisted living or dementia care is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Caring, service-oriented mindset
• Two years of nursing experience
• Current CPR certification
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• First Aid certification preferred
• Experience in Assisted Living or Long-term care preferred
• Dementia care experience preferred
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Works with Director of Wellness to ensure effective daily operations in the wellness department.
• Directly supervises nursing and personal care staff in resident well-being and care.
• Assists with onboarding and training of new wellness staff
• Builds a positive culture by providing care alongside team members.
• Assesses health, functional and psycho-social status of residents and manages care proactively.
• Ensures superior care and promotes service excellence.
• Ensures community meets Federal and State guidelines and requirements.

Education

LPN license

Bachelor's degree in Nursing

CPR certification

First Aid certification
