Wellness Director / DON (Healthcare)

Brandywine Living, a premier provider of quality senior living, is seeking a Wellness Director / DON to join the team! The comfort and care of our residents is our highest priority.

As the Wellness Director / DON, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall clinical operations of the nursing department to provide comprehensive care for residents in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position, department, and personnel.
  2. Developing and implementing active wellness programs for residents, working with the Life Enrichment Director.
  3. Maintaining resident files in an orderly manner and documenting all pertinent information regarding residents.
  4. Preparing resident charges and reports for approval and billing.
  5. Completing a minimum of 12 hours of annual training on topics relevant to the community resident population.
  6. Assessing residents within 90 days prior to move-in and annually throughout residency or as their condition changes.
  7. Developing initial and comprehensive Individual Service Plans (ISP) within specified timeframes.
  8. Overseeing resident care provided by the nursing department.
  9. Investigating all resident and family complaints or concerns regarding the nursing department and reporting findings to the Director.
