Job summary

Cascada Thermal Springs Spa and Hotel in Portland, OR, is seeking a Wellness Desk Team Member to be the friendly front-line contact for members and guests. You will greet visitors, manage check-ins, answer inquiries, and support both spa and retail operations.

The role emphasizes excellent service, sustainability, and teamwork in a serene, LEED-certified environment. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required as part of a dynamic hospitality team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in spa/hospitality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and members; ensure a smooth introduction to wellness offerings.
• Schedule spa appointments, group fitness classes, and visits using booking software.
• Process payments, handle cash, credit cards, and gift certificates per spa revenue policies.
• Provide information on spa services, pricing, packages, promotions, and wellness events.
• Assist guests in selecting services based on needs and preferences.
• Collaborate with spa therapists and staff to ensure smooth client flow and service delivery.
• Answer phone calls, monitor emails, and SMS correspondence professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the spa reception and retail areas.
• Upsell spa services, products, and retail offerings to enhance client experience and revenue.
• Assist with stocking and inventory of spa products and retail displays.
• Support attendants and staff with preparing treatment rooms for daily operations.
• Adhere to spa policies, health, safety, and sustainability practices.

We are seeking dedicated and friendly Wellness Desk Team Members to ensure the seamless operation of the reception desk for the wellness center. Your role will be vital in upholding our high standards of service and sustainability for the property and our membership.

We are seeking a customer service-focused wellness desk team member to be the first point of contact for members and guests of Cascada. You will greet clients, manage check-ins, answer phone inquiries, support daily operations of both spa and retail, and ensure positive first impressions.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and members warmly, ensuring a smooth and pleasant introduction to all wellness offerings
• Schedule spa appointments, group fitness classes, and thermal springs visits accurately using our booking software
• Process payments, handle cash, credit cards, and gift certificates in compliance with spa revenue policies
• Provide information to members and guests about spa services, pricing, packages, promotions, and wellness events
• Assist guests and members in selecting appropriate services based on their needs and preferences
• Collaborate with spa therapists and other staff to ensure smooth client flow and exceptional service delivery
• Answer phone calls, monitor emails, and SMS correspondence addressing client feedback and requests promptly and professionally
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the spa reception and all retail areas
• Upsell spa services, products, and retail offerings to enhance client experience and revenue generation
• Assist with stocking and inventory of all spa products, and retail display areas
• Support spa attendants and other staff members with preparing treatment rooms to ensure spa and retail areas are always photo ready
• Adhere to spa policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and sustainability practices
• Prepare the spa each service day for optimal client comfort and satisfaction
• Close the spa each service day to ensure a seamless transition for the next day's operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within the spa or hospitality industry
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members, guests and colleagues
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all areas
• Cash register, POS, and booking software system skills
• Knowledge of spa etiquette and procedures is advantageous
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Reliable and timely
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and be able to lift up to 50 Lbs.
