Job summary

YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metro Area is seeking a Wellness Associate to guide members on their fitness journey. You will engage on the wellness floor, provide basic wellness guidance, and lead orientations to connect members with available resources.

In this part-time role, you’ll motivate members to stay consistent, help them achieve goals, and uphold a safe, clean workout space while representing the YMCA’s mission with energy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Connect with members on the wellness floor and build genuine relationships.
• Provide basic wellness guidance and recommend programs based on goals.
• Lead orientations like EGYM and introduce members to available resources.
• Motivate and encourage members to stay consistent and reach their goals.
• Give tours to potential members and share the YMCA’s impact and mission.
• Keep the fitness area clean, organized, and safe for everyone.
• Monitor equipment and report any issues or safety concerns.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow safety procedures.
