Job summary

Blessing Health is seeking a Wellness Center staff member at our Quincy, IL facility. This role involves helping with health promotion, community education, and member support at the front desk, including scheduling services and tours.

You will assist in administrative tasks, manage registrations, and ensure the center runs smoothly for adolescents, adults, and older adults while embodying the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in health care and/or exercise/wellness is preferred.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification if applicable.
• Illinois Sanitation License required/certification may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Wellness Center team with health promotion and community health education initiatives.
• Manage front desk tasks: greeting members, answering phones, and registering new members.
• Schedule center services and lead facility tours.
• Maintain supplies, cleanliness of equipment, and assist in/admin tasks.
• Provide services to adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients with age-appropriate care.
• Support the Wellness Center mission in daily duties.

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting Wellness Center team members with the development, implementation, and management of Health Promotion, Community Health Education, and the health of our employees. This position is responsible for assisting Wellness Center members with the use of all fitness equipment, scheduling of center services and leading facility tours. Provides services for the front desk area including administrative duties, answering phone, assisting in the registration process for new members, cleaning equipment, and maintaining supplies within the facility.

This position requires providing services to adolescents, adults and geriatric clients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Health System.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Must possess a minimum high school diploma or equivalent degree.

Preferred

• Experience in the health care and/or exercise/wellness field, as well as food service industry
• ServSafe Food Handler certification completed if applicable
• Current Illinois Sanitation License

License/Certifications/Special Requirements

• BLS required
• Valid Driver’s License

PAY STATUS

• Non-exempt hourly
