Rivers Co-op Markets in Stillwater, MN is hiring a full-time Wellness Buyer to ensure customers have a great experience by keeping products available and offering friendly, attentive service. The role works with Purchasing and department teams to stock accurately, present displays, and follow food safety rules.

Duties include helping customers, ordering products, restocking shelves, receiving deliveries, processing invoices, and maintaining labels, health, and safety standards while supporting

Rivers Co-op Markets is hiring a full-time Wellness Buyer!

Experience-based pay ranging from$19.32 - $20.63 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 hours per week

Position Summary

Buyers make sure customers have a great experience by keeping products available, offering timely, friendly, and caring service. Buyers work closely with the Purchasing and department teams to ensure offerings are well-stocked, visually appealing, and follow food and safety rules. They may also help out in other parts of the store.

Duties include helping customers, ordering products, restocking shelves, receiving deliveries, processing invoices, making products and displays presentable, ensuring correct labels and signs, maintaining health and safety standards, and supporting other parts of the store.

This is a union position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Inventory: Proficient in inventory control and replenishment; experience in maintaining sufficient stock levels, effective in minimizing overstock and out-of-stock
• Financial Literacy: Demonstrated understanding of financial statements (sales, margin)

Physical and Working Requirements

The position involves frequent stationary tasks, along with regular movement within the grocery and storage areas. Frequent positioning is required to access both low and high shelving, equipment, and products. The job also entails the frequent movement of containers weighing up to 50 lbs. Wellness Buyers frequently handle packaged wellness items and may occasionally ascend/descend a ladder to reach high shelving. Wellness Buyers will utilize various equipment including but not limited to pallet jacks, computers, and printers. This role requires exchanging accurate information in person, over the phone, and through email and other written communication. Additionally, Wellness Buyers will occasionally work in a walk-in cooler and freezer and be exposed to sanitizer, cleaning products, and loud noises. This position requires an individual to be at least 18 years old.
