Job summary

The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa is seeking a Refuel Barista to prepare and serve coffee, smoothies, juices, and wellness beverages in a luxury, health-focused setting. The role emphasizes friendly, discreet service aligned with wellness standards.

You will greet guests, take orders, handle payments, maintain cleanliness, stock displays, follow food safety rules, and support peak hours including mornings, weekends, and holidays. TABC and Food Handlers certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior barista or café experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with coffee/espresso equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides a welcoming greeting to members and guests, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and processing orders and payments.
• Prepares foods, such as baked goods, bagging, blending smoothies, brewing coffee and tea, preparing made to order coffees following recipes, and serving items to customers according to order.
• Cleans and restocks work and dining areas, emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
• Updates signage and displays.
• Takes inventory and replenishing items in display coolers and behind the counter.
• Adheres to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
