Job summary

The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa in Houston, TX is seeking a part-time Refuel Barista to prepare coffee, smoothies, juices, and wellness snacks in a friendly, health-focused setting.

You will greet guests, take orders, handle payments, maintain cleanliness, stock supplies, and ensure high-quality service while upholding safety standards. Experience with coffee equipment and strong English communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have TABC certificate and Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in barista or café service is preferred (hospitality or spa environment a plus).
• Must be fluent in English and able to handle cash accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests, inform about specials, take orders and process payments.
• Prepare foods and beverages, including coffee, smoothies, and snacks, ensuring quality.
• Maintain cleanliness of work and dining areas; sanitize equipment and utensils.
• Update signage and displays; manage inventory behind the counter.
• Follow food safety regulations and quality controls; perform additional duties as assigned.
