Job summary

YMCA of Greater Hartford invites applications for a part-time Wellness Attendant in Plainville, CT. Under the supervision of the Wellness Director, you will support the fitness center operations and deliver high-quality service to members, participants, and guests.

You must be able to work early mornings and weekend shifts, maintain equipment cleanliness, greet members warmly, and promote YMCA programs while upholding safety standards and branch policies.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of health and fitness principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current CPR, First Aid, & AED required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality customer service to members and guests.
• Make member engagement calls to connect members to YMCA services.
• Greet members warmly and anticipate their needs.
• Maintain and monitor equipment, ensuring cleanliness and reporting repairs.
• Enforce YMCA policies and procedures.
• Attend staff meetings and be a reliable team member.
