Job summary

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a Wellness Advisor II to support new members through onboarding, personalized wellness appointments, and program connections. You will help members achieve their wellness goals while ensuring safety in strength and cardiovascular areas.

The role requires 3+ years of strength/conditioning experience (1-2 years required), a high school diploma, and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of exercise science and wellness principles.
• Has high school diploma; pursuing degree in related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills for member interactions and retention.

Responsibilities

• Provide wellness onboarding and retention appointments for new YMCA members.
• Engage members in ongoing physical activity and connect them to wellness programs.
• Ensure safety in strength and cardiovascular areas and maintain a motivating environment.
• Perform one-on-one wellness appointments and assist with equipment use; maintain confidentiality.
