Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of elderly individuals? At Ashberry, we are seeking an enthusiastic Wellbeing Coordinator & Day Care Worker to join our established team.

Location: The Weir Nursing Home, Swainshill, Hereford, HR4 7QF. Nestled within the National Trust Gardens near Hereford, The Weir Nursing Home was built in 1785 as a Georgian mansion. The home offers breathtaking views across the serene River Wye and the striking Black Mountains, creating a tranquil retreat for our residents. Our home focuses on delivering exceptional standards of personalised care and ensuring residents and their families feel supported and respected.

The Role

To support the wellbeing of individuals attending The Weir through meaningful activities, companionship, and social engagement in a warm and welcoming environment. This is a non-personal care role focused on activities, inclusion, and enhancing quality of life.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging group and one-to-one activities
  • Support wellbeing through social, creative, sensory, and reminiscence sessions
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and participation
  • Organise themed events, outings, and community activities
  • Build positive relationships with attendees and families
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and friendly environment
Skills & Experience
  • Caring, enthusiastic, and creative approach
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience in activities, wellbeing, care, or community settings desirable
  • Dementia awareness beneficial but not essential
