Job summary

OXY, Inc. in Carlsbad, NM seeks a Workover & Completions Specialist to provide technical and operational support for well servicing, workover, completion, and intervention activities in the field.

You will coordinate rigs, manage contractors, review programs, ensure safety and cost control, and drive reliability and production goals through hands-on field leadership and rigorous adherence to procedures. This role requires strong problem solving, communication with engineering and operations, and

Qualifications

• Extensive field experience in workover, completions, well servicing, production operations, or well intervention.
• Ability to coordinate multiple contractors and service companies during active well operations.
• Strong reading and interpretation of well schematics, programs and equipment specs.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex field and downhole problems.
• Strong communication, leadership and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily workover, completion, well intervention, and remedial operations.
• Provide field-level technical support from initial job planning through execution and final handover.
• Review workover and completion programs and ensure field activities follow the approved plan.
• Coordinate rig crews, third-party service companies, equipment, materials, and logistics for well operations.
• Monitor operations and identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and cost performance.
• Maintain accurate well-service records in applicable reporting systems.
• Support installation, repair, troubleshooting, and optimization of artificial-lift systems.
