Job summary

McNICHOLS in New Brighton, MN seeks a Welding and Warehouse Supervisor to lead a small team and oversee daily operations at the branch, including welding and material handling. You will mentor up to 5 staff, coordinate production and shipping schedules, and ensure safety and efficiency.

Welding experience is preferred, with strong communication and organizational skills. This is a working supervisor role supporting the warehouse and shop activities at our New Brighton location.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of team lead or supervisory experience with delegation and decision making.
• Working knowledge of shop math and reading design drawings.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
• Experience with inventory management software.
• Experience in ISO or quality regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate orders to customer specifications and prepare shipments.
• Train and mentor branch staff.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
• Maintain clear communication with vendors and suppliers.
• Monitor quality and performance metrics; implement improvements.
• Oversee equipment and machinery maintenance.
• Complete cycle counts and manage inventory adjustments.
• Coordinate with third‑party logistics to ensure on‑time delivery.
